We're always looking for motivated individuals interested in joining our patrol. All patroller candidates are required to complete the National Ski Patrol (NSP) Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) course. This 100+ hour course is generally held at Yawgoo Valley each year, from early September through November. Medical professionals (EMTs, nurses, physicians) can challenge the course.
All patroller candidates must also join the National Ski Patrol and attend the annual Fall NSP OEC refresher, either at Yawgoo Valley or another ski area offering the course.
All patrollers and candidates are expected to sign up for at least ten, half-day pre-scheduled duty shifts per year. Assignments are made in November based on scheduling constraints provided by each patroller. Patrollers and candidates are welcome to patrol as often as they like in addition to their pre-scheduled shifts.
